Trail Rides to Gros Venture and Sawtooth Wilderness areas

Sunset behind my house
More of the Sunset

Turquoise Lake in the Gros Venture Wilderness Area
It is a 32 mile round trip from the trailhead

It rained on us during the night.  The clouds are slowly
rising and the day begins to clear

My youngest daughter and riding companion

Doing what I love to do.
Packing up and ready to ride another 16 miles

One of my grandchildren's 3rd Birthday landed
between trailrides

She gets her wish I think

My oldest daughter and her friend ( riding companions)
in the Sawtooth Wilderness.  We rode 58 miles in 4 days.

Fern Falls on the So. Fork of the Payette

Elk Lake on the Payette

Ardeth Lake in the Sawtooths.  We met a Wilderness Ranger
here.  She had been backpacking on her patrol for a few days.
We had an extra T-Bone steak which she accepted to eat with us.
She even took a picture of it first because she said no one would
believe she got to eat steak in the back country.

Ingeborg Lake in the Sawtooths

Stream going over a gigantic smooth rock

Horses enjoying a rest for the night and good grass.
Grass is hard to come by in a lot of the Wilderness Area

Bear Claw marks about 6 feet up a tree.  Notice the gloved
fingers to give a size reference.

Me doing what I love best.

Beautiful scenery. You are turning into quite the photographer. Can't wait for our little trailride.
