Tristan at Old Failthful. Bev and I decided to give Mark and Mindy a little break and went to Yellowstone Park.Evie at Old Faithful
Oh, Home on the Range!!!
Second trail ride of the season. This is up Rocky Canyon off of Medicine Lodge (Idaho). There are thousands of these giant "geodes" on the side of the canyon. You could actually crawl into this one.
My twin brother Keith and riding companion for the day.
Me behind a rock "rifle pit" on the rim of Medicine Lodge Canyon. The Army had sent scouts to watch the canyon from here. Chief Joseph and his tribe were headed to Dubois on his way to Yellowstone, then on to Canada. The Army didn't know which mountain pass they would use to get to Dubois. Hence, the scouts overlooking Medicine Lodge. They fortified their position with rock walls and "pits" A bit of local history from the 1870's.
Kit behind another fortification.
Bev and I went to Boston for a Veterinary meeting. The is a picture of an old church from our hotel room.
Waiting to board a ship for a Boston Harbor dinner cruise.
Out on the Harbor. Should have taken the picture with the city skyline in the background. Oh well.
Neat old 17th century cemetery. Mother Goose is buried here.
Paul Revere's Grave
Inside the church that held the lantern for Paul Revere's ride. One if by land, two if by sea. Or is it the other way around?
Bev at Old Ironsides (made out of Oak) One of America's first battle ships.
